Butterscotch Brownies

INGREDIENTS:

2 cups unsifted flour

2 measuring teaspoons baking powder

1 � measuring teaspoons salt

One 12-oz. pkg. (2 cups) Nestle Butterscotch Morsels

� cup butter or margarine

2 cups firmly packed brown sugar

4 eggs

1 measuring teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup chopped walnuts or almonds

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

2. In a small bowl, combine flour, baking powder and salt; set aside.

3.In a small saucepan, melt butterscotch morsels and butter or margerine; remove from heat and transfer to a large bowl. Stir in brown sugar. Cool 5 minutes.

4.Beat in eggs and vanilla extract; blend in flour mixture. Stir in nuts.

5.Spread evenly into greased 15"x10"x1" baking pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until top is firm. Chill until served.
